Instructor - Merlin AndersonCowtown Horseshoeing School Instructor, Merlin Anderson started his career as a professional farrier in 1971. His career has ranged from the working ranch horse to top performance horses in racing, rodeo and English sport. Merlin has shod thoroughbred and quarter horses at major race tracks in the U.S. and Canada. His years of experience has provided him with a wealth knowledge at all levels of the farrier profession. Merlin's knowledge and experience has been drawn from his association with master farriers, veterinarians, and noted horsemen throughout the United States. During his 30 years of farriery, Merlin has used various methods and techniques with good results. However, in the early 1990's, he began working with Natural Balance technique and found more success in keeping horses sound, and continues to use and promote this method in the teaching of his students.
After a successful 25 year career, Merlin had a desire to pass along his knowledge gained throughout his shoeing experiences and started Cowtown Horseshoeing School in 1997. It is because of Merlin's commitment to teaching and helping each and every one of his students, that Cowtown Horseshoeing School has become the respected educational opportunity it is today. |
